New Pro Account Feature: Account Statistics (Beta!)
Posted by on Friday, October 30, 2009 in - 9 comments
The #1 requested feature on ClusterShot has been photo viewing statistics. We looked into several ways to provide information and weren’t content with rudimentary “page-view” counts that most sites use. We’re now happy to provide Pro Accounts with a fairly detailed statistics package powered by the open-source project Piwik. We've been recording statistics for the past month and have been playing around with the best way to display them. Consider this a beta - we’d love to get your feedback. Pro subscribers will see a link to the stats in the right-menu of their account page.

This is good! To see that there is actual traffic to my page and my photos is encouraging. I especially like knowing the search engine keywords that led the visitor there.
Great work - I appreciate it!

Super duper. This is good. All my search engine traffic is from Google. Surprising because on flickr my searches mostly come from Yahoo.

Awesome! This is an important tool as we start to market our sites. The search terms are especially useful for testing out how well our tags are connecting. Looking through my stats (Yay! There are visitors!) I'm surprised that "stock photograph" and "royalty free" don't seem to show up, or very rarely; it feels like an indication that a lot of the hits are just general image searches. Some of that traffic could lead to sales anyway, but I'm curious if there are more targeted searches that aren't finding us.
Also, is there any way of knowing if these accesses are unique visitors?
Great stuff, keep it coming!
Cheers,
Chuck/

Thanks. I was hoping to see a feature like this added.
I'm not sure I understand what is meant by AVG VISIT though. It might help to have an explanation there for those of us who are mathematically challenged.

1,300 Photos up for over a week and not a single visit, not even one - I must be doing something wrong!

What time zone is Piwik set to?
Just noticed today's stats say Nov 12th, but it's 11:14pm on Nov 11th. Not accounting for daylight savings perhaps?
